Introduction

"Lauschchischtli" is Swiss German for "little listening box" — a DIY smart speaker for the kids, built around an ESP32 with a speaker, microphone and physical buttons. It runs on ESPHome and shows up in Home Assistant as a regular media player, no cloud and no app required.
